Post On Pipe is a Total Game Changer

Post on pipe is a total game changer for the residential fence industry here in Western Washington and I couldn’t be happier about being able to buy this from a local supplier: Everguard Materials. As the owner of a small fence company (Gibson Fence and Deck), I’ve seen firsthand how important this technology is to our clients and our bottom line.

Streamlining Operations with Everguard Materials:

We started out making our own post on pipes with an old drill press. The process was time-consuming and costly. Having a never-ending supply of more cost-effective, high-quality post on pipes available right here in Seattle through Everguard has been a welcome change. We can get quicker turnarounds on projects, our labor cost has dropped significantly, and our stress level has too.

Quality and Durability of Post on Pipe Fences:

I’d say the most important factor when it comes to using post on pipes is the quality of the end product. Clients quickly and intuitively understand how post on pipes will eliminate post rot and make for a fence that will outlast a standard pressure-treated fence by decades. It’s often the case that a client reaches out to us to quote a fence because their current fence has fallen over, with the posts rotted right at ground level.  Standing in front of this failed structure is the perfect time to highlight the importance of a better design option. Knowing Everguard has them available and ready to pickup (or delivered), along with everything else we need to complete a project gives me the confidence to offer this product on every project.

Cedar Posts and Client Preferences:

One other factor with post on pipe fences that Seattle clients respond well to is the ability to use cedar posts.  Everyone knows that a high-end fence looks much better with all cedar construction. Very few people are willing to put cedar posts direct into ground and risk a fence that rots in under 10 years. Being able to offer a post on pipe, all cedar fence with the confidence that it will even outlast a pressure treated fence can make the difference. This is where Everguard comes in. Having these quality options at your fingertips both as a contractor or a homeowner looking to fence in your own yard, gives you the ability to build something special. Something we can all be proud of.
