Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Decking Materials Sales Director. In this role, you will play a key part in expanding our business by providing our current customer base with high-quality decking materials. You will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in decking products to drive sales, work with distributors, and ensure efficient delivery logistics. Additionally, as a leader in our new decking division, your success will be pivotal in establishing and growing this new area of our business.

Position Details

  • Pay: $60,000 – $120,000 per year
  • Hours: 7 am – 4 pm Mon-Fri (Occasional Saturdays)
  • Type: Full-time, occasional Saturdays
  • Work Location: In Person

Responsibilities

  • Utilize your expertise in decking products to drive sales and expand our customer base.
  • Conduct take-offs and provide full material quotes to customers.
  • Work closely with distributors to ensure availability and timely delivery of materials.
  • Schedule deliveries and pickups, optimizing logistics for efficiency.
  • Act as a motivated sales leader, setting and achieving ambitious sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Lead the new decking division, establishing its presence in the market and driving its growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales strategies and promotional activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales of decking materials or related products.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform take-offs and provide accurate material quotes.
  • Strong understanding of distributor relationships and logistics in the building materials industry.
  • Motivated by commission-driven sales and achieving targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and customer needs in the decking materials market.
